Western States Shootout

Marking the midpoint of the season, the Western States Hockey League returns to Las Vegas, Nevada from December 16-20 for the 14th Annual Western States Shootout.

The WSHL’s premiere event, the all-league showcase has averaged close to 100 scouts in attendance each season, from various NCAA Division I and III hockey programs and ACHA club hockey teams from across the United States.

With an all-time high of 28 teams, each of which will be playing four regular season games, the Las Vegas Ice Center (9295 W. Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89147) has been joined by the Sobe Ice Arena (2407 N. Rancho Dr. Las Vegas, NV 89108) as the host sites for the event, making it so all five days will be packed with wall-to-wall WSHL action, as teams try to pick up valuable points before the two-week holiday break.

Games will begin in the early afternoon on the 16th and will conclude by early evening on the 20th, with teams that begin play on Tuesday finishing on Friday and those that start on Wednesday concluding the event on Saturday.

Once again, the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino is the official host hotel of the Western States Shootout and is providing unbeatable room rates for families, fans and friends. Just call (800) 998-6937 and use code "C-WSFB4" to receive the Shootout rate of $32/night plus tax and resort fee.
